Site of the Day: Angry Republican Mom

Angry Republican Mom was actually submitted by BOMT regular Kurt.
...there is another blog I read that has asked for reasons why gays hate Bush. Now, not being qualified to answer this, I gave her some comments from a liberal's point of view. I thought that you and some of your other readers could perhaps explain the basis of the feelings.

Please be kind and don't just flame the poor woman.

So kids, let's play nice and teach the Republican mom that not all liberals are head nodders, and that we all hate Bush for very different and acceptable reasons.

P.S. - Not to be a catty bitch, but I think her hobbies listed in her profile are terribly funny. Keep in mind that this woman is 25, and not the 58 that her hobbies portray her as.

For the love of Christ. Ugh.

You know. Im sick of Bush supporters questioning the motives of "the Liberal Faction." Fuck, who questions you? It's like the fact that questions are being asked is a huge moral detriment.

Its as if the rest of the population should be as blind and ignorant to the plight of others as they are. "Gays? Don't know any. They must not need rights then." Its like what doesn't exist on the front lawns of suburbia is immoral and radical. I'm getting sick of ignorance as and excuse for reason, especially high powered political reason.

I swear, Canada is looking better and better every 4 years. (And All of you god fearing "Love it or Leave it" patriots can kiss my white ass."

I'm going to go put on some Rage Against the Machine.

Oh yeah, and I forgot....

After that I'm going to hug a tree, smoke a joint, hug a fag, read some beat poetry, grow my hair out, drive an import, consort with black folks, and cash my welfare check.

Blah.

While I did not respond to the post that I listed, I did reply to this one, in which the blogger brings up a 3-year-old bill dealing with pedophilia and simulated images of children.

Now I'm going to go take my bath for the day. In the river. With biodegradable shampoo. Because I don't want to waste water. And then I'm going to go to a protest outside of a Wal-Mart. And after that I will eat some tofudogs.

I’m not gay, but I think I might have some idea why gay men and women hate Bush et. al.:

Alan Keyes: "Hitler and his supporters were Satanists and homosexuals. That's just a true statement…The notion that is involved in homosexuality, the unbridled sort of satisfaction of human passions [leads to] totalitarianism, Nazism, and communism."

Rick Santorum: "If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual (gay) sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery. You have the right to anything…That's not to pick on homosexuality. It's not, you know, man on child, man on dog, or whatever the case may be."

Michael Savage: "Oh, you're one of the sodomites. You should only get AIDS and die, you pig. How's that? Why don't you see if you can sue me, you pig. You got nothing better than to put me down, you piece of garbage. You have got nothing to do today, go eat a sausage and choke on it."

John Cornyn: "It does not affect your daily life very much if your neighbor marries a box turtle. But that does not mean it is right. . . . Now you must raise your children up in a world where that union of man and box turtle is on the same legal footing as man and wife."

Bush: Silence.

That’s right, not a single comment chastising Santorum, Cornyn, Keyes or their supporters for making hate-filled, ignorant remarks about Americans. If a left-leaning politician or a radio DJ (in the case of Savage) were to make comments anywhere near this insulting and bigoted about Christians, you can bet that there would be an appropriate uproar from the Democratic leadership. But when (some) Republicans make clear their homophobia and hatred, there is nary a peep from the RNC.

And now I am going to post this on the Angry Republican Mom site, while avoiding any stereotypically liberal behaviors. :)

That's right, I'm 25. But, you need to go to www.pawpawvictorian.blogspot.com to understand my hobbies.

My home is my hobby, and yes, it happens to be Victorian.

Just another typical over-driven, successful, hard working Republican that loves her nice home, and SUV (which, BTW, gets 14 mpg on premium fuel only, please).

Another thing, if I may? I own my home and truck (and sedan), I purchased it before I married my husband...at 22.

Gotta go, ChemLawn just finished their summer application, and I have to go drop some Sevin to take care of the insects. Gotta love the modern convieniences...

Guess that means that I'm not successful, since I'm a liberal Dem. And that I must not have electricity, because I'm against modern convieniences. Ho-Hum.

This reminds me of a comment my friend made to her 18-year-old daughter, who came home from school in tears, angrily relating a "discussion" she had with a boy at school who insisted that all women who have abortions are murderers.

"Grace," she said gently, "What have I told you about talking to assholes?"
