Come on, are you really surprised about the recess appointment? It's not like he hasn't done this before.

What amazes me is the argument that the post is too important to remain unfilled. Well, I could be snarky and argue that funding the UN is important too, but we don't seem to have a problem with letting that slide. Of course, as we all know, all hell has broken loose in the five months that the US has been lacking a UN ambassador. Right?

Yeah, so I was still being snarky. Deal with it.

Um, didn't William Jefferson Clinton make recess appointments quite often? Yes, he did. So has virtuall every president for the past 100 years.
