George Bush hates Kanye. And I hate George Bush.
Taken from Andrew Sullivan -- and I can't think of anything to add:
"The good news is - and it's hard for some to see it now - that out of this chaos is going to come a fantastic Gulf Coast, like it was before. Out of the rubbles of Trent Lott's house - he's lost his entire house - there's going to be a fantastic house. And I'm looking forward to sitting on the porch. [Laughter.]" - George W. Bush, today.
Just think of that quote for a minute; and the laughter that followed. The poor and the black are dying, dead, drowned and desperate in New Orleans and elsewhere. But the president manages to talk about the future "fantastic" porch of a rich, powerful white man who only recently resigned his position because he regretted the failure of Strom Thurmond to hold back the tide of racial desegregation.

yeah, the Lotts probably can't wait to move back from the Washington house to the Mississippi Big House.
I wonder if George and Co. also think the 50s were America's golden era. Which they were. Unless you were poor, black, gay or a woman trying to make a professional career...- at Wednesday, September 07, 2005 6:53:00 PM chase said...
I just moved to GA from Jersey, and trust me, they know we're here....I can't swallow half the mess down here, between the confederate license plates to the t-shirts, and everyone trying to say it doesnt mean anything. If it doesnt mean anything why r u wearing it? ::rant over:: anyway, you're right, someone needs to staple bush's mouth shut, cause everytime he opens it, he just makes matters worse...(while your at it, bring some super glue for his Barb's mouth too.)
